Abstract Paintings

I am fascinated with the creation of patterns.  My poured paintings are based upon the pioneering efforts of artist David Alfaro Siqueiros whose poured painting technique involved pouring liquid paint directly onto the canvas to create dynamic and expressive compositions. Instead of brushwork, I utilize gravity and controlled pours to manipulate the paint flow, resulting in striking textures, patterns, and forms. By layering multiple colors and manipulating the canvas's orientation, I achieve a sense of movement and depth, evoking energy that vitalizes the visual field.
